Infant Programs
St. Mary Child Care Center nurtures and educates children from as early as 6 weeks old. This care gives families peace of mind knowing their child is well taken care of. Children receive love and attention to help them thrive and successfully reach important infant developmental milestones.
St. Mary Child Care's approach to child development is two-fold. We have both loving and educated staff with years of experience to provide excellent care for your child.
Many of our teachers have been with the Center for over 20 years and some for more than 25 years. Our lead teachers hold degrees in the field of education or early childhood education and development, as do many of our Assistant Teachers.
The infant and toddler programs follow the Creative Curriculum which is designed to provide positive daily interaction and new experiences to help your child grow and learn. Infants also participate in Young Children's Worship through simple stories and songs.
Infant Early Education
Our Infant Program (6 weeks to 12 months) revolves around consistent love and care for your baby. We give babies lots of attention, helping your child to feel loved, safe and secure. This type of environment is crucial for children to develop and thrive. We have two classrooms for this age group: our Infant Classroom and our Mobile Infant Classroom. Infants start in our Infant Classroom at 6 weeks old, and move to our Mobile Infant Classroom when they are a minimum of 6 months old. Both classrooms have a ratio of 1 teacher for every 4 babies, and a maximum of 12 babies enrolled each day.
We believe your child deserves to be nurtured and educated through the sound principles of child development. That's why our team is prepared and knowledgeable when it comes to early childhood development and education. All of our staff members seek to increase and update their knowledge through continuing education classes, workshops and seminars.
Learning is a developmental process occurring naturally and progressively within a stimulating and nurturing environment. St. Mary Child Care Center offers a variety of play experiences geared toward each child’s developmental level. Infants enjoy opportunities to explore, manipulate and come to a better understanding of the world through their own efforts. Teachers use the observational-based GOLD Assessments to track each Infant's developmental progress. Developmental Progress Conferences are held twice per year with familes.
